The Interim Computer Museum
Subject: [SDF] Open house for Bootstrap members Hello everyone, I wanted to give thanks to those of you who have supported SDF Vintage Systems and I'm looking forward to those who RSVPed and will be attending in person. We're likely going to be at capacity. Keep in mind this is just for Bootstrap (and above) members and not a public open house or public event. During the presentation there will be a live stream here which should start up at 1:30PM PT when people are gathering and start by 2PM PT. It will likely be about 45 minutes with Q&A at the end. https://twitch.tv/sdfpubnix Please be sure to follow to get notifications of when this account goes live. It is also used for the Boot Camps if you're interested in participating in those. For parking please use the spots along the East alley preferably. There are 4 to the right of the dumpsters and then numerous around the semi-cab trucks. There should also be spots open to the West if other businesses are not open. Our neighbor will likely be open, so it would be great to leave a couple of spots out front open for her business. For those attending in person I'm most interested in presenting activity roadmap, expansion and budget numbers to hopefully inspire those who want to be involved beyond Bootstrap. As it stands the current Bootstrap membership is well on a good trajectory to support the running and operation of our Remote Vintage Systems, particularly the smaller mini computers and workstations. If you enjoy using those I'd like to open them up to personal accounts. There is a mailing list specifically for these systems which is 'museum-l@sdf.org' and can be subscribed to by sending 'subscribe museum-l' in an email to majordomo@sdf.org A group of system administrators monitor the list and have the ability to create accounts on the various systems. Looking forward to seeing (or streaming to) you tomorrow. Also please contact me if you have any questions. Stephen |
