Subject: [SDF] January 2025 Vintage Systems Report

Here is the January report!

The big news is that the caretaker of M-NET, the oldest public access UNIX
system circa 1982, has gifted the final incarnation of that machine. Dan
Cross is currently managing M-NET now available as a Remote Vintage System
and we're happy to be hosting it from now on. Hardware wise the original
ALTOS ACS68000 system that started M-NET is being donated to SDF.
Additionally the conferencing system that M-NET used has now been released
under MIT license. Hopefully you'll be able to see it at this Spring's
Interim Computer Festival March 22nd-23rd!

PDPplanet Lives! The PDPplanet domain names have been transferred to SDF.
We're going to memorialize the look and feel of the site with updated
SDF Vintage Systems information. For those not familiar with what PDP Planet
was, try: https://web.archive.org/web/20250000000000*/http://pdpplanet.com
